What does the plant operator course cover?

Prior to 2012, all states of Australia had specific WHS bodies issuing “tickets” that were not necessarily not accepted in other states.

The harmonisation of the state's plant operator competencies “tickets” all came under ASQA (Australia Skills Quality Authority) which oversees skills and competencies. 

The RII (resources and infrastructure industry) a national qualification and through time has been adopted by the industry as the standard that is required by leading earthmoving and civil companies as well as local government to comply with site and contractual requirements. TEAM training have been delivering training since 2013 contracting to quality RTO 

The proven technique used for our skills training has been developed by our principal trainer following 30+ years in civil and mining, experience including 

  • Production excavator operator in open-cut gold mines

  • Owner operator civil company

  • General manager (includes setting up new companies in remote areas) 

  • Crew supervisor and foreman 

  • Rural plant operations (dam construction, roads, vegetation control)

  • Mine site construction

  • Site preparation for housing

  • Demolition

  • Specialist in site rehabilitation and land stabilisation

  • Work safety requisites

  • Learning the established processes and approaches

  • The prescribed OHS guidelines

  • Materials that can be excavated, loaded, and carried

  • How to operate different equipment

  • How to attach and detach the different parts and attachments

  • Maintenance of the vehicle

  • Cleaning up after the undertaken operations

We have two training centers, one at Tweed Heads and Casino, catering to all surrounding districts.

We have been engaged a lot in the suburbs such as (Northern NSW like Tweed Heads, Casino, Grafton, Terranora, Lismore, Byron Bay) as well as the Gold Coast suburbs like (Currumbin, Nerang, Coomera, Helensvale, Southport, Robina, and Burleigh Heads).
